EU AI Act Jobs in AI

The EU AI Act is the European Union's comprehensive AI regulation, the first binding, economy-wide AI law of its kind. It classifies AI systems by risk level, from banned practices to high-risk systems (such as those used in hiring, credit, or critical infrastructure) down to limited- and minimal-risk tools, and layers on separate obligations for general-purpose AI (GPAI) models. Obligations are phasing in over 2025-2027: prohibited practices and AI-literacy duties applied first, GPAI model obligations followed, and the full high-risk-system requirements land last. Any company placing AI systems on the EU market, or whose AI output is used in the EU, can fall in scope regardless of where the company is based.
