Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Solutions Manager, Tax & Audit AI FDE to lead product strategy, customer discovery, and execution for Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) engagements across the Tax, Audit & Accounting domain. In this role, you will own the product direction and technical execution of complex engagements, working directly with customers, Forward Deployed Engineers, Professional Services, commercial segments, domain experts, and core product teams.
You will combine customer discovery, disciplined delivery, domain fluency, and strategic judgment to translate high-value tax, audit, and accounting workflows into well-defined solutions and scalable capabilities for CoCounsel Tax and the broader AI-native portfolio. You will ensure bespoke solutions and integration patterns create immediate customer value, are validated for professional-grade trust and quality, and are intentionally productized into repeatable capabilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement and Use-Case Discovery: Partner directly with corporate tax departments, accounting firms, audit and assurance teams, finance functions, and internal stakeholders to understand workflows, pain points, regulatory and professional obligations, data dependencies, and operational constraints. Translate ambiguous needs into clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
Product Leadership Across FDE Engagements: Lead product execution across multiple Tax, Audit & Accounting FDE engagements. Establish priorities, structure discovery, guide delivery decisions, and maintain alignment among customers, Forward Deployed Engineers, Professional Services, subject-matter experts, and core product teams.
Backlog and Execution Management: Own and maintain engagement backlogs with strong hygiene, prioritization, and transparency. Ensure work is scoped, sequenced, and tracked across discovery, build, validation, launch, and handoff.
End-to-End Product Lifecycle Ownership: Manage product work from intake through development, deployment, adoption, release readiness, and transition to core product teams or ongoing customer ownership. Ensure decisions, context, and learnings are documented and reusable.
Productization of Bespoke Tax Solutions: Identify recurring tax research, preparation, review, advisory, audit, accounting, compliance, calculation, document, and data-integration patterns that can become repeatable capabilities. Recommend when work should remain customer-specific and when it should be generalized for broader market value.
Tax AI Quality and Trust: Partner with engineering, tax and accounting subject-matter experts, and product teams to define validation criteria appropriate for professional workflows, including technical accuracy, authoritative sourcing, calculation integrity, explainability, traceability, security, auditability, and responsible AI considerations.
Strategic Influence: Synthesize customer needs and deployment insights into recommendations for the roadmaps of CoCounsel Tax and other AI-native tax products, along with reusable service offerings, integrations, enablement, and investment priorities.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of product management, solution architecture, or related product-delivery experience, ideally in enterprise SaaS, AI-enabled products, workflow platforms, integrations, or implementation-heavy environments.
Demonstrated experience leading complex, customer-facing product and solution architecture work across multiple stakeholders and parallel initiatives.
Proven ability to convert ambiguous customer problems into clear product strategy, requirements, technical prioritization, and execution plans.
Strong executive communication, facilitation, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated experience partnering closely with engineering teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong domain understanding of corporate tax departments, accounting firms, audit and assurance practices, finance functions, or adjacent professional-service environments.
Hands-on experience with generative AI, agentic workflows, APIs, enterprise integrations, data ingestion, spreadsheet/calculation workflows, or document-intensive professional work.
Familiarity with domain workflows such as tax research, return preparation/review, tax advisory, direct/indirect tax, audit planning and testing, workpapers, financial reporting, technical accounting, or compliance.
Proven track record of moving bespoke customer implementations into reusable product capabilities or scalable delivery patterns across an AI-native product portfolio.
